Executive Job Description
Our client is seeking an elite PR and Marketing leader who thrives in a mission-driven environment that encourages diversity and personal growth and fosters its core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence, and stewardship.

Position Scope and Responsibilities
In this highly visible role, the PR & Marketing Director is responsible for providing the leadership to create and deploy strategic communications, public relations and marketing programs to favorably position all ministries locally, regionally and nationally.

Primary focus is on the overseeing centralized functions including Web development, graphic design, advertising, communications & publications, community relations, and media relations. The person in this position works closely with senior executives throughout the system and serves as a liaison to the community.

Specifically, this leader will be responsible to:
• Develop, direct and execute promotional strategies for key services to achieve maximum market penetration and meet and/or exceed objectives consistent with the strategic plan.
• Develop and execute proactive, value-added corporate communications and public relations programs designed to enhance the image and reputation of organization as well as garnering public support for corporate objectives.
• Establish annual public relations and marketing goals, programs and budgets to ensure achievement of objectives and profitability of products and services.
• Utilize market intelligence to capitalize on market opportunities proactively, minimizing the effects of competitive activity.
• Direct the timely release of information to the news media and effectively respond to media inquiries and inaccurate or negative reports in a timely and credible manner.
• Develop relationships of trust with key constituencies, both internally and externally.
• Manage the publication of communications including, but not limited to, the corporate magazine, newsletters, brochures, etc., in addition to managing websites.
• Oversee branding initiatives
• Lead the development of marketing/communications/public relations measurement metrics (including ROI), while being strategic and maintaining operational, fiscal and political acumen.
•Be creative and innovative in implementing new ways to engage with the community at large to build positive image awareness and an affinity for the Organization’s brand.
• Serve as a catalyst for change, as well as effectively using change management skills, particularly with integration of our ministries.
• Juggle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines, as well as an ability to balance short- and long-term objectives.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and adapt to a changing health care landscape.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
•A minimum of 10 years high-level, managerial experience in complex integrated delivery system with progressive roles and accountability
• Effective experience in the planning and implementation and/or improvement of:
•Media and media relations/management
•Communication programs and activities
Public relations programs and activities
• Brand strategy, management and optimization
•Marketing and competitive positioning strategy
•Advertising
•Resource identification maximization for success
•Graphic design and production
•Website management and maintenance
•Internal and external publication development and management
•Event planning
•Community outreach activities
•Demonstrated mastery of written and verbal communications
•An effective public speaker
•Demonstrated leadership in working with senior management and community leaders
•Computer skills and knowledge of all aspects of new media and web technologies
•Experience in the Health Care industry preferred

EDUCATION REQUIRED
•Bachelor or Master Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business or related field
