Executive Job Description | Our client is a well-known asset management firm that offers a variety of investment solutions to individuals and institutions. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking someone to join their marketing communications team to direct the proposal efforts for the firm. If necessary, the firm will provide relocation for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead senior level proposal professionals including RFP Managers, RFP Editors, and Team Leaders
• Establish content and proposal creation standards and mentor RFP Writers in adopting and executing those standards
• Ensure that all content in the RFP and consultant databases is accurate and that the databases are updated on a regular basis
• Establish and maintain relationships across the firm with senior management, subject matter experts, sales managers and compliance
• Determine product and prospect positioning points to identify key “win themes”
• Attend portfolio strategy calls and investment meetings to ensure current and timely portfolio information is captured in prospect and client proposals
• Act as an authorized final decision maker on proposal management content decisions.
• Provide senior management with proposal tracking information when necessary
Background Requirements:
• 5 – 10 years of experience within the financial services industry, preferably within marketing communications
• Prior experience managing a large proposal team for an asset management firm is REQUIRED
• In depth knowledge of institutional investment products and services across multiple distribution channels
• Strong management skills with the ability to work with all levels of management
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines
• Experience with budgeting, interviewing and training
• BA/BS required
• MBA/CFA a plus
