Executive Job Description | Position: Director of Field Diversity - NM080542
Location: Milwaukee, WI
BASIC FUNCTION: Develops and delivers on the vision, strategy and local execution plans for Northwestern Mutual’s field diversity recruiting initiatives. This includes all forms of diversity and the incumbent must demonstrate the ability to analyze a wide variety of demographic markets to identify the best diverse groups to leverage in District and Network Office. Must promote and report on the results of diversity efforts across the organization. Must lead and collaborate on diversity integration into partner organizations that impact the training, development and retention of diverse recruits. Also leads and collaborates on the development of marketing and advertising initiatives, public relations and communication pieces on diversity efforts and results.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area with 10 years of experience in leadership positions with significant accountability for: Attracting and recruiting candidates to opportunities in his or her organization. Developing programs, driving and managing projects to deliver program infrastructure, tools, process, measurement criteria and execution plans. Leading execution and delivery of programs to end users. Developing measurement criteria and communicating on results. Strong relationship building skills with experience in sourcing candidates, developing local centers of influence and advocating the business case for diversity efforts. Experience working with a sales or distribution system that is widely disbursed and unique in character. Experience working with or in Northwestern Mutual’s field offices, or other financial services organization preferred. Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to evaluate situations quickly, challenge the status quo, and recommend customized solutions. Proven ability to work in a team environment.
