Executive Job Description
The client corporation is a global manufacturing company with operations around the world. This company competes in a number of global business segments with emphasis on product development and manufacturing. The company is seeking an experienced Director of Employee Relations to assist the Vice President of Human Resources in managing all employee relations and talent acquisition for a major US subsidiary. The position is based in an attractive location in the Southeastern US.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. SHRM certification(s) should be advantageous.
• 8+ years of successful experience in human resources with an emphasis on employee/labor relations.
• Direct experience with conflict resolution techniques and working knowledge of best practices in human resources.

Primary Job Functions:
• Supervise Employee Relations Team members and liaise with Department Managers.
• Coordinate support of Employee Relations members to other human resources programs.
• Ensure fairness and consistency of all company policies and corrective actions.
• Implement necessary union avoidance measures.
• Recommend all terminations to Human Resources Department Manager.
• Make certain associate voice is understood and heard by Management Team.
• Ensure mutual respect and diversity efforts are properly implemented company wide.
• Determine direction and strategy for Employee Relations function.
• Perform daily plant walk-through, review corrective actions, meet with Management Team to set direction and solve issues, and maintain vigilance on any union organizing activity.
