Executive Job Description
Position Purpose (Description) Salary in the mid 100's
Directs the planning, administration and implementation of job evaluation, performance appraisal process, wage and salary management programs.

Demonstrates Job Knowledge:
1.Other Universal Accountabilities
•Serve as a resource on matters related to labor/employee issues.
•Provide proactive strategies to minimize employee-related conflicts.
•Partner with leadership in development and implementation of work environments that support employee and management satisfaction.
•Serve as an advisor to, and advocate for, employees and leadership in partnership with Human Resources.
•Coordinate inter-departmental activities focused on labor relations/employee relations.

2.Directs the planning, administration and implementation of job evaluation, performance appraisal process, and wage and salary management programs. 75%
•Administers compensation programs based on established policies and regulations; manages the analysis of current programs, develops and communicates new and improved programs; oversees computer databases containing compensation data; analyzes trends and developments in compensation practices.
•Acts in an advisory capacity to leadership on compensation issues, proper classification of positions, hiring salaries, performance appraisal process, and application of policies and federal and state regulations related to compensation.
•Assists the Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer in the planning and administration of executive compensation programs and practices.
•Directs the conduct or participation in wage and salary surveys and recommends changes to ensure the maintenance of compensation objectives, strategy and competitive position in the marketplace.
•Directs the collection and analysis of compensation data, analysis of results and preparation of salary policy recommendations which maintains our organization in a competitive posture within the job market; present recommendations to leadership; direct research into alternative reward programs for possible application.
•Directs the collection and analysis of supply and demand data for critical-to-retain jobs, analysis of results and preparation of manpower planning process.
•Develops training programs to educate leadership in compensation processes, practices, policies and strategies.

3.Other Responsibilities 25%
•Manages staff within the Compensation department including, but not limited to hiring, work assignments, performance appraisal and disciplinary actions.
•Participates as an active member of the Human Resource Council.
•Provides support and leadership in major human resource projects and initiatives that impact employees.
•Facilitates communication within area of responsibility.
•Devise long and short-term goals for department.
•Coordinates the development of the corporate human resources annual budget to meet organizational objectives and ensures implementation and control of compensation and employee relations’ departmental budget.
•Develops, implements and evaluates programs designed to meet key result areas.

4.Other Required Knowledge and Skills
•Thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of compensation and management; demonstrated ability to successfully apply this knowledge to a working environment.
•Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations.
•Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of others.
•Knowledge of team-building techniques and dispute resolution concepts.
•Effective written and oral communication skills; effective presentation skills.
•Good organizational and personal leadership skills.
•Ability to prepare and maintain complex reports.
•Ability to use microcomputers.
