Director of Client Hosting Services. To Managed staff of 50 that report up through managers in five functional areas: Solutions Architecture & Integration, Solutions Delivery, Hosting Support Service Desk, Hosting Support Advanced Services and Network Operations Center (NOC). Oversee recruiting, employee evaluations and staff development. Manage and delegate support, project and other priorities. Manage activities to ensure client commitments and business needs are met. Provide weekly and monthly status reports. o Manage portfolio of client web hosting operation projects. Serve as intake coordinator for new projects. Prioritize projects based on business need and resource availability. Balance project resource demands with ongoing client support needs. Leverage Project Management Office resources while maintaining ownership of all department deliverables by ensuring goals are achieved, quality results are produced, solutions are documented and client satisfaction is high. o Proactively oversee and manage all aspects of client web hosting compartments. Ensure high service levels through zero downtime and superior performance. o Architect, implement, maintain and evolve hosting strategy that provides a cost-effective Internet operation for Gannett that is secure, flexible, reliable and scalable. Work closely with Director of Infrastructure to ensure aspects of shared underlying infrastructure (network, storage, security, etc...) are meeting client's immediate and future needs. o Facilitate communications and integrate activities with business units and other internal technology teams to ensure the successful participation, implementation and support of project efforts. Candidates must be technically fluent and sound in architectural and operational concepts of TCP/IP, networking, enterprise storage systems, backups, internet security, load balancing, directory services, application and infrastructure monitoring, virtualization, automation, databases, disaster recovery, high availability, scalability and web site performance management. o Candidates must be fluent in industry standard technologies (such as) from Cisco, EMC, Dell, VMWare, CentOS, RedHat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IIS, MS SQL Server, LAMP, HP Data Center Automation Tools, IDS, BMC BCAN, Akamai, Keynote and GOMEZ. o Minimum of 10 years technical management experience, managing multiple teams with staff of at least thirty employees. 10 to 15 years of industry experience that includes several years of mid to large scale Internet/Online experience. o Undergraduate degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline. MS or MBA is a plus.
