Executive Job Description	DIRECTOR of UM and/or CASE MANAGEMENT - MIDWEST (VP position also available) An experienced RN will enjoy this opportunity to fully utilize expertise in managed care with this established healthplan in a new and unique market! Rare chance to help mold the start up team and influence the initiatives of the medical mgmt department. You will have an opportunity to work across multiple product lines. FULL RELOCATION PACKAGE available. Specific areas of oversight will be referral management, telephonic utilization review, prior authorization functions, and case management programs. Provide support to Provider Relations issues related to Utilization issues for hospitals and physician providers. Coordinate efforts with the Member Services and Connections Departments. Identify quality and risk management issues and facilitate the collection of information for quality improvement and reporting purposes. Compile and review multiple reports for statistical and financial tracking purposes to identify utilization trends and assist in financial forecasting. Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent. 1-3 years of utilization management and/or case management experience in managed care environment. 5+ years of prior nursing experience in an acute care setting particularly in medical/surgical, pediatrics, or obstetrics.
