Executive Job Description | Director, Capital Markets
Position Purpose:
Manage an active portfolio of up to 20 Real Money funds, hedge funds and other clients that invest in Australian, New Zealand, or Asian capital markets products (this will be principally highly rated bonds). Actively on-board new clients, in conjunction with the Financial Institutions and Public Sector (FIPS) group. Ensure consistency and seamless execution to our customers, and with our product partners.
Major Responsibility Areas:
Distribute Capital Markets products (principally highly rated bonds) to our investor base Assist in growing the NY Capital Markets investor base in conjunction with FIPS relationship managers Actively promote cross-sell and increase the number of products distributed into existing investor base Ensure regular client meetings and timely call reporting Enhance relationships with other key internal partners thereby ensuring a one Banks face to the clients Become the supplier of choice to our clients in our core products Help build and distribute our Asian capital markets offerings Ensure zero tolerance compliance with laws, regulations, industry codes, and Bank Policies both personally and across the business Build and maintain effective working relationships with other business units. Remain cognizant of client credit approvals, ISDA/CSA negotiations Ensure the business complies with all Risk guidelines including KYC, AML, credit limit adherence, all aspects of the NY Compliance Handbook. Development of investor relationships whose market execution strategies are unlikely to damage Banks P&L. Increase the focus of flow through the business in line with the Flow Strategy and Nominal Bond strategy Work with the trading desk to ensure consistency and quality of price making. Ensure flow of market information across sales/trading/clients Generate trade ideas for proprietary risk taking and/or to grow customer flows.
Desired Experience Profile:
Graduate and/or post graduate academic qualifications 7-10 years experience in capital markets sales to FI and NBFI investors in a wholesale financial center, with particular experience in bond sales and a demonstrated ability to build a profitable client centric business Relevant Market Registrations Series 7 & 63
