Executive Job Description | Our client, a large advertising company, is currently seeking to hire a Director of Business Operations.
We are seeking a Director of Business Operations to join the Advertising Operations group. The Director of Business Operations will be the business owner for all branding and non-performance based campaigns in the exchange.
The Director of Business Operations will manage a team of analysts whose sole responsibility is to achieve both the Advertiser’s and Company’s goals effectively and cost efficiently.
The Director of Business Operations will be solely responsible for growing deals in the exchange by working with Sales on new and innovative ways to grow our accounts.
The position can be characterized as fast paced, analytical, and communicative role, which bears significant responsibility and accountability.
Job Duties:
* Manage a team of Analysts, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
* Work with the Publisher Development team to help drive inventory acquisition.
* Create streamlined workflows for team to follow to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely.
* Responsible for meeting company profitability and margin goals as set by senior management.
* Evaluate and analyze deal parameters of potential opportunities supplied from the Sales team.
* Oversee campaign performance and use all available tools to optimize campaigns in order to meet the goals of both the client and Company.
* Maintain proactive communication regarding campaign status across all account stakeholders, including Account Managers, Account Executives and Senior Management.
* Liaison with the Sales team to oversee proper implementation of campaigns (ad tags, pixels/beacons, reporting discrepancies, click tracking, etc)
* Work with Sales to give client feedback on creative, landing page and conversion process optimizations.
* Work closely with Finance Department to ensure proper billing and publisher payouts. This includes both publisher and advertiser invoice disputes.
* Become the business owner and requirements driver for the development of new features, enhancements, tools and upgrades to our existing product suite.
* Document and maintain best practices as they relate to campaigns as well as the type of inventory these campaigns run on.
Requirements:
* BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or other quantitative field.
* 5+ years in Ad Operations or Business Operations, preferably at an Ad Network or Exchange.
* 2+ years experience managing small to medium size teams.
* Knowledge of Retargeting, Behavioral and Conversion pixel implementation.
* Strong understanding of ad optimization and performance metrics.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and data manipulation skills.
* Proactive thinking with a positive "can-do" attitude.
* Experience and understanding of Ad Servers such as Doubleclick, Atlas, etc.
* Experience working with Salesforce.
* Strong Excel skills.
