Executive Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the architecture, communication and delivery of the company’s benefits strategy and structural health & welfare changes and revisions. Duties include:
• Establishing strong working relationships with customers, providers and vendors to meet service delivery objectives;
• Dealing with union workforce health & welfare plans;
• Managing and developing staff, work load, priority levels and projects;
• Monitoring the performance of outsourcing organizations;
• Timely and accurate reporting of H&W costs, revisions and conversions;
• Managing plan changes related to acquisitions and divestures;
• Providing guidance and information in labor contract negotiations.

EDUCATION: 4-year degree required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 8+ years of Benefits, Health & Welfare leadership for a company with 25,000+ employees;
• Must have union experience;
• Experience managing outsourcing organizations;
• Experience managing complex conversion of benefit plans;
• Strong vendor management experience;
• Experience with any or all of the following: leading the design of recordkeeping systems, web products, flexible benefits, compensation strategy projects, executive retention potential, employee focused communication campaigns, etc.;

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Any certifications or affiliations such as CEBS, CCP, CBP, PMI, PMP etc.;
• The ability to consolidate plans by looking at the big plan.
