POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the architecture, communication and delivery of the companys benefits strategy and structural health & welfare changes and revisions. Duties include: Establishing strong working relationships with customers, providers and vendors to meet service delivery objectives; Dealing with union workforce health & welfare plans; Managing and developing staff, work load, priority levels and projects; Monitoring the performance of outsourcing organizations; Timely and accurate reporting of H&W costs, revisions and conversions; Managing plan changes related to acquisitions and divestures; Providing guidance and information in labor contract negotiations.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: 8+ years of Benefits, Health & Welfare leadership for a company with 25,000+ employees; Must have union experience; Experience managing outsourcing organizations; Experience managing complex conversion of benefit plans; Strong vendor management experience; Experience with any or all of the following: leading the design of recordkeeping systems, web products, flexible benefits, compensation strategy projects, executive retention potential, employee focused communication campaigns, etc.;
DESIRED SKILLS: Any certifications or affiliations such as CEBS, CCP, CBP, PMI, PMP etc.; The ability to consolidate plans by looking at the big plan.
