Executive Job Description
Our client is one of the nations' most successful and financially stable insurance groups. the company provides financially secure insurance protection and services to individuals and business. It provides a quality working environment with focus on easy to use services, commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for pleasing its customers.

Located in the Midwestern US, our client seeks an experienced Benefits Director who can design and develop benefit programs to attract and retain agents and employees. The Benefits Director will be responsible for ensuring that all benefits are consistent with company vision, long term strategy and culture.

Job Summary:

This position will work under the general direction of the Vice President of Human Resources and will be fully accountable for all corporate benefit plans.
Responsible for compliance with governmental regulations related to corporate benefit plans.
Responsible for monitoring market conditions, developing trends and regulatory proposals to insure all plans are competitively positioned, cost effective and strategically sound.
Provides recommendations to executive management for changes to existing programs and proposals for new benefit offerings.
Prepares reports and analysis of company plans for the executive management team.
Attends, participates and represents the company in industry meetings and conferences pertaining to benefit programs.

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge and understanding of all facets of employee benefit plans.
Ability to determine cost impact of specific benefit plan changes and the subsequent impact of corporate financials.
In-depth knowledge of benefit policies, practices, common exclusions/limitations and applicable laws.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong mathematical, financial, problem solving, analysis and negotiating skills.
Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources or Communications.
7 to 10 years experience in benefit design with advanced level of knowledge and expertise in current benefit laws and regulations.
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, (CEBS) certification would be viewed favorably.

Salary/Benefits:

Lucrative salary in excess of six figures.
Benefit programs include a fully funded pension plan, lucrative 401(k) profit sharing plan, SERP, group life, group health/dental/prescription, long term disability as well as other fringe benefits.
