Executive Job Description	Chief Investment Officer (Korea) Large Korean Conglomerate seeks Chief Investment Officer for their insurance division in Seoul, South-Korea. Scope of Position: Goals: 1) Enhancing asset soundness and profitability 2) Balancing of assets and liabilities 3) Creating synergies among Affiliates. Key Tasks: 1) Improving operational systems 2) Innovating organizational culture 3) Developing individual capabilities Core Responsibilities 1. Formulate the optimal investment portfolio to enhance the profitability as well as to retain RBC ratio as high as possible • Benchmarking of advanced asset management portfolios • Conducting comparative analysis on an existing asset allocation process and the results from the benchmark • Relating ALM investment strategies to SAA • Providing improvements and reform of SAA process (ex. Establish portfolio target (objective)) • Amending asset allocation task policy • Relating SAA and TAA • Providing improvements and reforming of TAA process (ex. Re-establishment of R&R among departments) 2. Develop the plans to invest in new class of assets including but not limited to Overseas Fixed Income & Equities, Overseas Alternative Investment products • Conducting In-depth analysis of newly created investment products and present own view on investment opportunities • Suggesting own view on overseas investment proposals • Proposal of strategic product development • Revamping organizational structure of Asset Management Group (if necessary, create new organizational structure) • Research and develop credit review mechanism • Reviewing current hedge mechanism and seek for improvement • Handling critical review and make strategic decision on legacy asset • Examining different approaches to maximize synergy with Hanwha affiliates such as (KLIA, HITMC) • Designing world-class variable annuity/pension products and suggest management measures 3. Improve asset management evaluation system • Comparative analysis between the benchmark and the previous performance evaluation system • Setting benchmark for asset classes among related departments • Resetting benchmark for asset classes if necessary • Drawing improved conclusion of the performance evaluation system (example: the establishment of the detail evaluation process) • Discussion between related departments on utilizing performance evaluation result 4. Advise to execute the actions necessary to nurture the culture comparable to top-notched global standard • Identifying the targets for benchmark (Global leading life insurance companies) and creating a social network for business • Evaluating “Check and Balance” between departments • Suggesting ideas to globalize the portfolio managers • Introducing the methods for Economic outlook and analysis from global leading investment companies Korean Language Skills Not Required.
