Executive Job Description | The Business Systems Consultant will act as the liaison between the line of business and the technical organization. Plans, conducts and directs analyses of technological solutions from basic to moderately complex business problems and process improvements. Oversees and/or conducts evaluations of business requirements and recommends appropriate technological alternatives to business line and systems management. The chosen candidate evaluates new and evolving business strategy and technologies, identifying impact on business and recommending/implementing enhancements. He/She provides strong business and technical expertise to ensure effective design, analysis, project management, development, training, implementation, and maintenance of enhancements. Identifies risk factors and recommends appropriate controls. May participate in or develop RFPs. May be responsible for vendor oversight and selection. May prepare and/or administer a budget.
Responsibilities Performs data analyses and works projects to solve a variety of business issues for Servicing Acquisitions, Investor Services, Alaska Assumptions and BDA (Business Development and Acquisitions). Works with users to define business requirements and analytical needs. Obtains data from a variety sources including but not limited to, electronic, hardcopy,origination, servicing, LPS-Fidelity etc. Performs analysis of findings, forecasting and trends using statistical analysis,modeling, process documentation etc. Summarizes and presents findings regarding items such as reducing waste, maximize operational efficiency, quality, compliance, etc. Responds to requests for specific, customized reports, utilizing tools as SAS, Access, SQL, Minitab, Business Objects, Crystal, Excel, Passport etc. Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies. Identifying business performance and alternate metrics. Develop/monitor/improve COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) measures. Develop/monitor/improve standard routing and work flow times for direct/indirect labor activities. Drive results to lead/direct team members and projects through department operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TCM & Agile). Participate in Quality audits/reviews, Operational Excellence-Six Sigma/LEAN activities. Drive results to lead/direct team members and projects through the Six Sigma DMAIC process, overall Total Quality Management model. Drive results to lead/direct team members and projects through application of LEAN principles and waste reduction. Drive results to lead/direct team members and projects through the Theory of Constraints via bottleneck, complexity, handoff mitigation. Expertise with graphical/statistical charts and interpreting the results. Provide leading operational indicators utilizing probability studies, trending and forecasting to help predict future business trends. Commitment to participate/lead/direct Continuous Improvement activities. Respond and contribute to defect/defective reductions, through working and contributing to Incident and Issues logging and tracking. Possess the ability to work efficient and effective in a self-directed and independent manner. Organize and facilitate requirement gathering sessions for Operational processes and solutions. Capture the Business Requirements using department standards. Facilitate the communication for approvals required during the project lifecycle. Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design. Prior medium to large project participation. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to coordinate multiple projects with an attention to detail. Strong technical writing capabilities. Strong Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio skills. Moderate Programming (Visual Basic, Visio Studio.NET, C Sharp) experience. Strong relational database design experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate up and down. Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient. Occasional overnight travel required. Mortgage Acquisitions and/or Servicing experience. |
