SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST-Finance Controller’s Division
The Finance Division acts as a strategic partner across business lines. Professionals within the division work closely with the management teams of our clients many departments, adding value to the firm's operations through strategic analysis and hands-on participation in planning and in process redesign. The Finance Division is broken down into Treasury, Tax, Controllers, and Strategy & Planning.
The Controllers Division is responsible for a variety of activities related to the Firm's financial reporting and controls. The division is divided into different areas of specialization where each group features a unique set of responsibilities that include both analytical and accounting roles. The Finance Projects team within the Controllers division is working on a number of strategic projects across the firm. Currently, the project team is seeking experienced Senior PM/BA’s.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with senior finance functionaries on a variety of projects and strategic initiatives to improve the finance division’s business intelligence, performance measurement & reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Review BRDs to interpret Rules logic for development of business-driven reporting tool
• Analysis and interpretation of Prototype and UAT results
• Steer functional requirements process with Technology partners
• Collaborate with business partners to set-up, test and validate results
• Provide status updates on work stream efforts
• Generation of documents, including requirements and user manuals
• Identify key data gaps and coordinate efforts to address gaps with Contracts Warehouse program
• UAT planning and execution of Rules Engine
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6-10 years experience in business analysis, reporting, business intelligence, data warehousing, project management in Big4 / top tier investment banks
• Expertise in Access and Excel is essential
• Experience in Regulatory Reporting line role or project is preferred
• Candidates must be self starters (working under minimal direction), have superior communications including the ability to compile management level presentation with strong interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Financial Control and/or Product Control experience is considered a plus
• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance; advanced professional qualifications are considered a plus
• Familiarity with Qlikview, Business Objects and/or Cognos is a plus
