Engaged in Lead Architect and Project Management roles for four consecutive contract engagements, described below in reverse date order from Present to September 2006:

1. Carolinas HealthCare System (Oct 2007 – Present): Led the redesign and development of a key intranet application designed to record the scholarly activity that generates external, peer-reviewed recognition for CHS doctors. The application is the first Rich Internet Application at CHS to utilize “Web 2.0” technologies to improve the user experience and reduce on-going software maintenance costs.

2. Caterpillar Tractor & Verbatim (Jun 2007 – Oct 2007): Served as the Senior Engineer on two projects under contract with E-dreamz of Charlotte. The first project was the implementation of a Service Oriented Architecture for Caterpillar Tractor’s Equipment and Catalog Data. CAT provided this data as XML to the various CAT dealerships for use in the design of their Websites. Also led the implementation of this SOA and the creation of a custom Content Management System for a new Website for the Carolina CAT dealership. The second project was the design and development of an Employee Extranet for Verbatim. The system created Data Marts of critical Sales and Shipping data from the production databases, and provided secure, user-friendly access to this data via the Internet.

3. SMS Systems Maintenance Services, Inc. (Jan 2007 – Jun 2007): Responsible for the design and development of new Web-based applications, including an Asset & Contract Management Portal for customers, and an application to track the status of pending Customer Pricing Quotes. Also charged with the business and process development for SMS’ new Cisco Hardware Maintenance line of business.

4. Vexcom / Stock-Trak Group (Sep 2006 – Jan 2007): Designed both the supporting hardware server farm infrastructure and near real-time stock quote retrieval software system to support a high-traffic Stock Simulation Website (http://www.wallstreetsurvivor.com/).
