• Currently manage two major groups:
- Equity Systems Support - proprietary application development and support for all equity investment groups, approximately 400 users located globally managing approximately $375 billion. Manage a global team of 20 (40 peak) project managers, systems analysts, business analysts and software developers. Responsible for strategic projects, custom development efforts and providing operational support to the user base. Grew this team from a small Boston-based team to a globally distributed organization, designing and implementing strategy for deploying global support, staffing teams in London, India, Singapore and Tokyo and using a follow-the-sun support model. Recently charged with extending this model to Fixed Income and other IS support organizations.o Non-US Information Services
– Non-U.S. Information Services – Promoted in 2008 to concurrently manage a globally distributed team of application support, desktop support and network & telecom support specialists distributed throughout Wellington’s international offices. Group represents all non-U.S. based technology staff, 18 individuals, which supports the technology needs for 350 users representing all operational areas of the firm.
• Developed long term strategic systems plans. Established a business governance model of application focused working groups and business management groups. Responsible for annual budgeting cycles, long term strategic planning that assures alignment with the strategic business plans of supported organizations.
• Responsible for formulating, implementing and overseeing policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance (SEC and SAS70 compliance). Working with executive management of the firm developed and implemented monitoring capabilities to meet or exceed regulatory and client requirements. Responsible for presenting to clients, auditors and regulators on internal controls.
• Responsible for the full development lifecycle and support of multiple proprietary systems including the portfolio management system, investment research systems, applications for assessing investor performance and compensation, investment modeling tools for valuation and predicting alpha generating capability, and analytic systems for calculating and reporting risk data such as market exposure, counterparty exposure and other risk measures, particularly for derivative securities.
• Grew the proprietary order-entry system from providing basic buy/sell capabilities for common stocks to a full decision-support tool, supporting all equity and derivative asset types. Streamlined the application to facilitate operational transactions while enabling users to better manage increasing books of business.
• Chaired and/or participated on numerous internal committees and working groups helping to set the strategic direction of the firm and the IS organization including the London Operations Committee, the IS Senior Advisory Group, the IS project review committee and many other committees.


1999-2000, A major buy side investment management firm.
Director, Technology Resources, Investment & Advisor Compliance.
• Formulated the strategic technology plan for division, working with business units to define strategy for replacing/migrating 15 legacy systems. Application set included Pre-trade Compliance, Regulatory Filings (13D, 13G and 13F), Blue Sky filings, and Code of Ethics administration.
• Rebuilt a group that had previously had a high rate of attrition, re-staffing the group to full strength and restructuring the group to provide better alignment with business group. Introduced cross training of roles to provide backup on critical roles and to provide staff with growth opportunities.
• Management of a group of 7 project managers, business analysts and desktop support specialists responsible for user support on all proprietary applications, project management, requirements documentation and user acceptance testing as well as providing PC desktop support for the division.
• Successfully oversaw multiple major projects to implement multiple new systems including a regulatory filings system, a system used to pre-clear personal trading, a system for Blue Sky filings, a system for portfolio managers to monitor portfolio restrictions and a system for monitoring firm holdings against moratorium limits.
• Identified and implemented multiple opportunities for outsourcing.

• Promoted to manage all aspects of the group including development, support, client consulting, QA and technical documentation for products. Managed a group of 10 full time employees and a product set that included BankMaster PRO, an ALM tool used by 90 globally based clients generating revenue of approximately $2.5M annually. The product is used primarily for measuring and managing interest rate risk for portfolios containing fixed income and derivative securities.• Set strategic direction for the group, working with clients to identify needs while defining new products and creating product development plans for existing products.
