• Significant contributor in creating and executing the strategy to successfully transform Key Banks Mainframe Operations Center into the Enterprise Operations Center supporting Distributed and Mainframe Technologies.
• Led the initiative to transform the KeyBank’s Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO) engagement process to accommodate the Agile Project Management Methodologies.
• Successfully initiated, architected and managed the execution of all of Key Bank’s infrastructure and application efforts for the full implementation and continued exploitation of the mainframe clustering technologies, Parallel Sysplex.
• Successfully architected and managed all the budgetary, organizational and technology mainframe infrastructure initiatives to provide a common systems platform in support the new (multiple data centers) enterprise that resulted from the merger for the Key Bank and Society Banks.
• Led Key Bank’s Information Technology Quality Improvement Program for Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) Organization which spanned across all the mainframe, distributed, telecommunication, database and operational disciplines. This Program provided the platform, structure and the metrics for ETO to continuously improve and measure the implementation of projects and changes as well as the reduce incidents and problems.
• Managed and led the efforts to develop and implement a Catalog of Services for Key Banks’ Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) organization to facilitate the Technology and Operational organizations ability to support the implementation of the Agile Project Management Methodology.
• Rescued the troubled implementation of Siebel Customer Relationship Management System for Key Bank’s Client Experience Program by leading an effort to identify and resolve performance and capacity related issues.
• Managed and architected multiple Data Center Opening and Consolidations during my tenure at Key Bank
• Initiated a program, while employed at IBM, to proactively sure up IBM’s tape storage hardware at the New York Telephone Company which allowed IBM to maintain its foot hold with their tape storage products at New York Telephone Company.

Infrastructure Manager, New York State Department of Health MISCNY Data Center (December 2010 to Present)
This is an executive leadership role as an Infrastructure Manager providing systems engineering and operational direction to the New York State’s Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) Medicaid Information Systems Center New York (MISCNY) Data Center. My responsibilities include the engineering, deployment of the informational technology infrastructure and staffing, administering the operations of the MISCNY data center. CMA was awarded the contract to design, develop and implement a new Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) in September, 2010. In addition to proving the MDW, CMA was also awarded the contract to build a new MISCNY Data Center, design, procure and implement the hardware/software to support the MDW and manage the daily operations of the data center. I was specifically hired to provide the direction and leadership to complete the build out of the infrastructure to support the MISCNY Data Center and to put establish the security and system management policies, procedures, products and staffing necessary for the data center to go operational in June, 2011.

CDPHP, Albany, NY Sept, 2009 - Dec, 2010
Capital District Physician Health Plan (CDPHP) is a not-for-profit individual practice association (IPA) model health maintenance organization (HMO). It is physician-guided health benefits provider that offers a variety of commercial and government-sponsored plans. It serves nearly 400,000 people in counties throughout North East New York and Vermont.

Manager of Systems Engineering and Provisioning (Sept, 2009 to Dec, 2010)
This is a leadership role within the Information Technology organization. My responsibilities include the management of the organization responsible for the engineering and deployment of hardware and software information systems technologies. The scope of these technologies include AIX, VMWare, Windows Server, Active Directory, Sharepoint, Exchange, MS/SQL, Oracle, WebSphere, .Net Applications, IBM SVC, 8100 & EMC NS480 storage systems, CISCO Networks (FCoE), voice, desktop, the Tivoli Systems management and Network Management systems. My responsibilities also include the installation and patch support of the core business application from FACETS from Trizetto and its ancillary supporting applications


KEY BANK, Albany, NY Oct, 1985– Sept, 2009
Key Bank is a subsidiary of KeyCorp. KeyCorp is a financial services company with assets of approximately $98 billion, KeyCorp employs approximately 17,500 people, operates 3 Call Centers with 24X7X52 availability and maintains 1,000 Key Centers distributed across 14 states. The Key Bank IT environment spans across two data centers and it consists of a mix of distributed platforms (3,000 servers) and a z/OS Mainframe Parallel Sysplex (9,400 MIPS) that support over 900 applications.

VP, Manager of Enterprise Event Management, Online Systems & CMDB (2001 – 2009)
Manage the organization, teams, strategies, budgets, schedules and quality for the implementations of the architectures, integrations, installations, customizations, and ongoing support that includes the design through deployment of client solutions for the Enterprise Event Management, Business Service Management, z/OS Automation, z/OS CICS Transaction Server and Enterprise MQ Environments for the Key Bank.

z/OS Computing Architect & Parallel Sysplex Engagement Manager (1998 – 2001)
I was responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Key Bank’s Parallel Sysplex initiatives from proposal through production deployments. (Parallel Sysplex is an enablement within the mainframe technologies that allows mainframe real time transactional systems and batch to participate in a shared cluster to provide eater resiliency and availability). I took this initiative from initiation of the business case through deployment. The scope of this effort included enabling hardware configurations, operating systems, real time transactional processing systems, database systems, the network and the business applications for the deployment of this technology.

Senior Manager, Systems Software Support (1991 – 1998)
A leadership role that allowed me to develop, manage and lead all aspects of the mainframe software disciplines to provide the growth and capabilities required of the mainframe IT infrastructure to facilitate Key Bank’s growth from a corporation managing $5 billion in assets to a corporation managing $77 billion in assets. I had responsibilities for the mainframe operating systems, transactional systems, network systems, storage management, database systems, network systems, email systems and image storage management systems. These disciplines included architecture and configuration, installation, maintenance, configuration, customization, diagnosis, repair and root cause resolution. I had responsibility for personnel administration for 30+ staff that was distributed across multiple sites, administering a $15+ million budget, and tracking and monitoring department's performance, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Associate Engineer for the Software Manufacturing Division of IBM responsible for planning the configuration and coordinating the installation recently developed hardware for installation into the “Model Installation”. The “Model Installation” was the installation of the recent and next release of the “CBIPO” (Custom Built Installation Programming Option) package of the IBM MVS Operating System with all its associated software program products in complex a multi system environment. I was responsible in assisting in the development of the validation plans for the new hardware and providing diagnostic and resolution activities when incompatibilities were encountered. Other responsibilities included the installation, maintenance and configuration of the VM Operating Systems and associated guest machines configurations to support the development and build of different CBIPO configurations. One of my more significant contributions to the organization was providing the Software Manufacturing CBIPO development organization an understanding the IBM’s customers prospective of the use and needs of the IBM Software Products and the packaging of these products.

Programming Support Representative (1982 - 1984)
Programming Support Representative, supporting the IBM MVS operating system and all the associated software MVS program products in IBM’s Field Support Organization, I was responsible for fostering a strong customer relationship to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction regarding the service’s IBM provided to their customer in support of their products. My territory consisted of all the accounts within the branch office that had MVS Operating System installations. The branch office’s coverage consisted of 4 of the 5 boroughs of within New York City. My account management responsibilities included a regular communications with my customer as well the assisting my customers with the configuration, installation and maintenance planning for the IBM MVS Operating System and associated software programming products. These responsibilities also included the diagnosing, identification and recommendation of fixes for resolving IBM code defects and/or incorrectly deployed IBM software product implementations.
