Achievements: Responsible for the performance of the banking technology product, from concept stage, in a Global Fortune 500 bank turnaround, I helped turn around the product through steps in the product life cycle.
I started by getting a data driven buy-in on vision, plan and key processes which held for 3 years, through reengineering and reorganization. I built and guided a team of up to 10 that took on more responsibility later in the life cycle. Through build versus buy decisions, I cut Chinese and Australian supplier involvement, reducing timeline and costs by 50%. By innovating, I cut product components by 20%, cutting costs and penalty risk, and built intellectual property. This, along with the build decisions, assisted TCS in acquiring and integrating a supplier. I created collateral that simplified collaborating with other product leaders, created sales demos and training, and made presentations to bank executives and to create product evangelists.
The bank, with a 6000 branch implementation, had begun to turn around market share losses in 2005.

* Led the TCS response to a section of a Global Fortune 500 bank's RFP for a $50 million contract that defined the product baseline, working with bank executives toward a quick sign-off to the RFP section.
* Reengineered business processes, using data trends and research, for transactions across loans, treasury, and trade, which were accepted by the team that reported to the bank's board, to create product specs.
* Planned product roadmap, and collaborated, from concept to launch, on product features and priorities, with 200 associates and international suppliers, identifying favorable variance that cut $1 million in costs.
