Deal Executive in Thailand

Company is a leading IT company. Hired on a contract-basis to relocate to Bangkok to: 1) train the local Thai team in pursuing large-scale outsourcing deals, and 2) lead the strategic outsourcing pursuits for APAC opportunities. Led the effort to convert a workplace solution into a full IT outsourcing opportunity with a client bank resulting in the largest ITO contract ever signed in the Philippines. Provided executive management for all large outsourcing opportunities globally ? lead a team of senior outsourcing executives and subject matter experts, lead the pursuit efforts for the large strategic opportunities; provide executive oversight for all other large outsourcing proposals; executive operations management responsibility for new deals; develop the financial/business structures; lead contract negotia-tions; develop and direct global outsourcing strategy; brief financial and technology analysts on my company?s global outsourcing strategies and capabilities. Accomplishments of note: Globally responsible for greater than $2 billion of contract wins: grew the U.S. book of outsourcing business (both ITO and BPO) by more than $1 billion Total Contract Value (TCV); directly led the pursuit efforts for $900 million of the $1 billion TCV; implemented a U.S. pipeline development strategy that increased the outsourcing pipeline from less than $10m to greater than $3 billion; and speaker at leading IT outsourcing conferences. Promoted to Senior Vice President in 2003.

Vice President / Account Executive ? Mega Deal Outsourcing Division



The Mega Deal Outsourcing Division was created in 1997 to ensure competitiveness on large strategic or "mega" procurements (typically greater than $1 billion in total contract value). This elite corporate team consisted of individuals chosen based on their demonstrated ability to directly contribute to winning procurements. Primary responsibilities included: provide pursuit oversight; drive the overall pursuit strategy; drive technical and corporate entities for best solutions and costs; determine costing, pricing, and deal structures; and manage multi-million dollar pursuit budgets. Accomplishments of note: Account Executive for multiple successful pursuits whose aggregate contract value exceeded $3 billion.

Led and operated a newly created consulting / services business line with revenue of $25M+ per year. Services included management/IT consulting, call accounting/billing and call center. Accomplishments include: Increased revenue and profit by greater than 20%; Built strong sales force.


Director Business Development / Strategic Planning - Telecommunications

Directed new market development and creation of business strategies for the telecommunications industry including publishing and cable. Accomplishments include: Developed advertising sales automation as market focus, resulting in revenue of greater than $6M; Created interactive television services, resulting in revenue of greater than $10M; Managed proposal team for winning procurement with total contract value of greater than $400M; Managed winning procurements with total contract value of greater than $60M.

Vice President Marketing and Strategic Planning - Integration Services Division


This company was a start-up company that had developed a distributed network switch. One of this company?s missions was to create integration services division that could build information technology solutions based on their technology. Hired by a former boss. Managed a team responsible for marketing and strategic planning. This division was closed when the expected venture capital investment did not material-ize.

Director of Business Development


Responsibilities included: Developed the strategic plan for a new business unit; managing projects for acquisitions, alliances, and joint ventures; and championing communications services through my company. Accomplishments of note include: Project management of the acquisition of XXX Corporation; project management for the creation of a joint venture with a major global telecommunications company; manage-ment of the sales support effort for multiple winning proposals; and management of successful consulting engagements with telecommunications customers.
