Revitalizing the Business Unit international business and rebuilding the International Programs operation revenue stream, capabilities and opportunity pipeline.
Expanding the business development activities in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait) into adjacent markets to capture new opportunities and grow existing major customer accounts such as: Saudi Aramco, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, the Jordan Armed Forces and the Jordan Public Security Directorate.
Established a branch office in Bahrain in addition to a presence in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Reorganized the business operation and reduced operating cost by 25%. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Corporation Saudi Joint Venture – June 2007 to November 2010
Shaped the strategic direction for the Joint Venture (JV) in Saudi Arabia and oversaw its business operations. Approved annual budgets and business plans and monitored performance. Initiated a three-year transformation plan that improved cash flow, reduced operating cost, increased revenue and profit margins while increasing the JV local technical, functional and business development capabilities. Negotiated the buyout of the majority equity owner leading to the restructuring of the JV into a wholly-owned Corporation subsidiary.

SPRINT PCS - May 2002 to November 2002 Directed a large billing system conversion encompassing 30+ Front and Back End business applications through the application development and integration life cycle. The new customer care and billing platform significantly increased the legacy platform scalability and outperformed existing business transaction response and up time by a factor of 150%.
BCE Teleglobe - February 2002 to April 2002 Directed a team through the analysis and planning phase for developing an integrated order processor to enable the support of Teleglobe's global IP VPN products. The project focused on delivering an IT infrastructure blueprint, solution architecture, and a business process and operating model. The proposed solution came under the original implementation estimates by 20% and provided a consistent global customer experience.
DIGEX - MCI - April 2001 to January 2002 Forged and directed a go-to-market relationship between Digex and Accenture by bundling Digex's managed services and hosting capabilities to include a subset of Accenture's web-architected market offerings such as eCRM, eProcurement, eBilling, eLearning, and execution architectures (.NET). The go-to-market approach extended Accenture's system integration core business to include long-term outsourcing and hosting services and generated an estimated opportunity pipeline in excess of $12M annually across industry verticals.
Defined the international IT systems requirements, multiple language approach, and application support model to enable the roll out of Digex's hosting and managed services product set into WorldCom's Internet Data Centers (IDC) in Asia and Europe. The project was credited with shortening the initial planned product roll out by 4 months.
XO Communications - November 2000 to March 2001 Defined the international IT systems integration plan and European IT expansion strategy focusing on the integration of Nextlink (US) and Concentric (UK) existing IT infrastructures, customer care, billing, and operation support systems to address their merger into XO Communications. Addressed the regulatory, multiple languages, multiple currencies, and international business requirements. Refined the systems architecture, business operations model, and functional business process flows. The project provided a cost-effective approach ($7M in initial savings), consolidating IT infrastructures and systems while supporting international business requirements. Directed a team of 30 local and UK staff.
ALLTEL Communications - December 1999 to October 2000 Delivered a major strategic IT technical infrastructure upgrade and migration encompassing production servers (HP to SUN), databases (Sybase to Oracle), middleware, and code porting to increase Alltel's customer care and billing systems scalability, high availability, and performance. Spearheaded the new technical architecture working with multiple vendors. Guided the RFP process, including contract negotiation and closing. Deployed in a 9-month record time, the new IT platform met Alltel's business imperatives a year ahead of schedule by supporting a projected 75% subscriber and 50% end-user growth. Directed a team of 75 local and offshore staff.
NEXTEL - September 1999 to November 1999 Led an assessment of Nextel's existing application architecture for the customer care and billing systems to address existing business requirements gaps and maximize the business capabilities of existing business support systems. The project provided a tactical and strategic road map for evolving the existing application architecture and migrating to a new business support system.
IRIDIUM - April 1996 to September 1999 Directed the global deployment program of the IT infrastructure and business support systems to 15 business offices worldwide. The deployment effort included hardware procurement and staging, application installation, data configuration, user acceptance test, and user training. Defined the data configuration strategy to address regulatory and global business requirements such as multiple languages, currencies, tax structures, and rate plans. Established and managed an application support team which provided global 7x24 tier 1 support to deployed IT staff. Led on-site systems deployment activities in Germany, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. Directed a team of 65 local and international staff. The innovative deployment strategy and repeatable processes (US patent pending) were recognized by the telecommunications industry to shorten the deployment life cycle by 50%.
VERIZON - April 1994 to March 1996 Directed a team through the development life cycle of a client/server Integrated Order Management (IOM) system. The IOM system handled on-line retrieval and storage of residential, small business, and corporate accounts from a central relational database and streamlined the business functionality of an existing legacy service order processor by allowing near real-time processing of service orders. The IOM system services over 6500 Customer Service Representatives in 50 locations throughout 6 northeastern states.
