• Led the integration of four autonomous businesses (Advanced Materials Technologies Inc., Triumph Engineered Solutions, Triumph Thermal Processing, HT Parts) into one enterprise (AMTI) eliminating over $3 mil in annual operating costs.

• Recruited specifically to lead the turnaround of this underperforming business unit, we reversed the negative growth trends in key business segments (–10% to +20%), increased op income 63% while increasing net margins by 8 points. (1st year). Continued 10% + op income growth through the next 3 years, including through the “9/11” issue. Enhanced RONA from 14.9% (2001) to 41.6% (2004).
• Initialized and launched a new $4 mil strategic service center in San Antonio, Texas for servicing of aviation ground support equipment (GSE). Highly profitable (+30% gm) within the first year of operation.
• Led business development efforts for Regional Jet segment. Revenues grew $0 to $4.4 mil in three years.
• Selected and led the deployment of a new 4GL information platform (Syteline) resulting in institutionalization of information and >200% reduction in transaction costs.
• Awarded Triumph’s “Most Improved Company” in 2001 & “Company Excellence Award” 2003.
• Rebuilt and developed senior leadership team for sustained performance beyond my personal tenure.

Service groups included avionics repair depot, aircraft line maintenance, and a technical call in support center. Components ranged from high precision complex electro-mechanical devices, to state of the art digital electronic systems. Reporting to the President of Component Services, revenues of the business were $17+ mil in FY-1999, directly overseeing over 120 skilled associates.

Major Contributions & Accomplishments:
• Voted Pro Pilots #1 Avionics Shop in the U.S. each year, 1996 through 2000
• Expanded main plant throughput by 45% in two years, from a declining growth position through redesign of workflow, elimination of bottlenecks, and team development.
• Decreased cycle time by 56% over the same two-year period through extensive workforce cross training programs and revised team & individual performance measurements.
• Designed and directed the launch of a relationship based service delivery program resulting in streamlined customer support, increased customer satisfaction, and increased quality of market intelligence.
• Developed the business plan, and co-led the technical development of a PC based test platform integrating product testing, data collection, and failure analysis across 40 test stations in 13 different facilities. Low cost and high performance of the platform allowed economical expansion of remote facilities to 20 sites.
