MAJOR AEROSPACE DEFENSE AND SPACE SUPPLIER 2008-present

Vice President, Airbus Programs, Aerospace Structure Division,

Joined company to help win and then lead the A350XWB program for composite fuselage components, a strategic move to grow into commercial aerospace business and to improve corporate portfolio balance.
* Won contracts (>$1B) with Airbus and fuselage Risk Sharing Partners for composite stringers and frames; Established team and projects to accelerate Manufacturing Readiness Level to support aggressive schedule and reduce risks; Adapted new team, processes and culture to a required high rate production environment;
* Coordinated investment (~$200M facilities, equipments, tools…) and facilitated lean operations efforts to start production and successfully deliver first composite kits in May-July 2010, ahead of competing suppliers.

HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC. 1990-2008

Vice President, Dassault then Embraer Business Segments, Honeywell Aerospace, Phoenix, AZ (2005-2008)

Accountable for the overall business activities and results with key OEMs (including P&L, $250M revenue), from strategic direction to tactical execution, covering multiple systems and services (Avionics/FBW, APU, Air Management, Propulsion Engines…). Organized and led a team of talented program managers, sales and functional directors (support, engineering, finance, contracts, operations, legal, HR) across several international sites, to develop and meet aggressive corporate goals in growth, productivity, cash and employee development.
* Achieved Honeywell’s record sales growth at Embraer for 2 years while increasing margin (25% YOY revenue growth and several points’ margin increase). Improved customer satisfaction through focus on value creation, organizational alignment and execution. Drove joint market study with Embraer to coordinate new product roadmap with customer’s aircraft platform strategy; Established a sales expansion plan (5% per year) to accelerate growth, independently of aircraft volume;
* Led program management team and reinforced processes to significantly improve quality (70% improvement) and on-time deliveries of complex avionics software development through planning, focused execution and control, and cross functional coordination;
* Directed successful negotiations and settlement in a $60M legal dispute;
* Recovered confidence from customer, enabling award of a >$20B contract for new aircraft family;

Vice President, European OEMs Account Management, Commercial Aerospace, Toulouse, France (2003-2005)

Responsible for Strategy, Sales, Support and Customer Relationship with European commercial OEMs including Airbus, Dassault, Eurocopter, Socata, Pilatus, SNECMA, Rolls Royce. Coordinated and implemented the strategy and team structure to achieve growth targets with 3 Aerospace Strategic Business Units (Electronics, Engines and Systems, Aircraft Landing Systems).
* Led a team of 6 Account Directors, to grow the sales (from $400M to $550M) and support activity of large, multi-systems business enterprises; simultaneously managed diverse accounts (from general aviation to large commercial aviation) in different development life cycle stages (from pursuit to development and production);
* Implemented sales process improvements and shared best practices across accounts, including strategy book, sales pipeline, penetration rate improvement plans and coordination with sales to airlines customers;
* Identified industry trends impacting future sales strategy; worked with customers and internally to refine and influence impacts, and drive changes internally to adapt early. Anticipated Airbus’ “New Supplier Policy” and drove improvements in Program Management skills and ties with Account Management to improve capacity to manage large, integrated new development programs. Also directed joint engineering study to quantify impact of “More Electric Aircraft”

Director, Dassault Sales and Support, Commercial Aerospace, Paris, France (2000-2003)
* Secured a large (~$2B) multi-system contract for avionics and mechanical systems on Dassault’s new Falcon 7X by leading cross-business, cross-functional pursuit teams and by driving day-to-day execution to commitment and customer satisfaction;

Honeywell Commercial Electronics Systems, (1990-2000)
* Positions with increasing responsibility in Customer Engineering, Sales and Marketing (Field and OEM) in Paris, Toulouse and Phoenix; Turned around a declining electronics business account and restored long term profitable partnership with Dassault by winning the EASy avionics contract (>$1B) thanks to leadership skills and customer intimacy.
