Initially recruited to market several emerging market hedge funds to private bankers in Geneva, Paris and London. Following the Russia/LTCM crisis, I assumed responsibility for developing the companyís Internet-based auction marketplace for illiquid financial assets.
In 2002, I became more involved in the company's business development and capital raising activities, working closely with the CEO, the COO, private equity firms, and individual investors in the US and Europe. I was involved in developing the company's securitization platform, an asset management platform using an ABCP conduit to provide risk transfer and to fund assetsóan innovative outsourced solution for banks and their clients. Business Development / Capital Raising
* As a member of IAT's Management Committee, participated in all decisions made by the company, from business and fund-raising strategy to budgeting and cash management.
* Played a major role in IAT's business development, including raising equity and debt funding; developing the IAT business model; writing the IAT business plan; creating presentations for potential investors; and acting as the primary due diligence liaison for several potential institutional investors.
Financial Modeling / Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) Conduit Experience
* Created all internal financial modeling, including financial projections for an ABCP conduit; detailed projections for the conduit sponsor, IATSecuritization; and return analyses based on the projections. Prepared deal origination proposals supported by pricing models.
* Modeled a variety of external products: first loss equity required for portfolio of trade receivables using VaR methodology; guaranteed return product using a basket of high-yielding bonds and treasury bills; and cash flow analysis of portfolio of airline leases.
* Maintained and upgraded the pricing model for B-Strips, an emerging market fixed income derivative product. Provided daily pricing to B-Strips holders.
* Obtained conditional A1/P1 credit rating for the ABCP conduit from S&P and Moody's.
