FINANCIAL and BUSINESS PROCESS DIRECTOR, AT&T Business Services -- Revenue Assurance Management 2000 - 2003 · Lead cross-organizational team that designed new business processes as part of an enterprise software (SAP) project for A/R, credit and collections. · Completed activity-based unit cost analysis for over 20 functions in organization, which enabled leadership to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvements. Analysis was basis for organization redesign, to eliminate overlap and reduce costs. · Put in place new billing system for $600M carrier billing operations, including requirements and testing. Managed collections and dispute resolution. · Improved cycle time for $900M Local Service billing while reducing headcount and lowering costs. · Managed $280M budget and human resources for 1,600-person organization; ensured that budget and headcount targets were met. Developed forecasts and monthly budget assessments. Developed, coordinated and analyzed business cases for $20M capital budget.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR, AT&T Solutions -- Centralized Operations 1999-2000 · Lead cross-organizational effort to achieve best-in-class cost objectives; created benchmarks and measurement processes as part of project; gained the cooperation of several independent groups to complete project. · Created activity-based cost targets and tracking process; implemented new financial systems to track costs by process; assisted each process owner with understanding and analyzing costs. Cost data enabled senior management to understand areas of profit weakness. · Managed all CFO functions for centralized operations of outsourcing business, including financial planning and results reporting; organization costs were $3.2M under budget through June, 2000.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS DIRECTOR, AT&T Business Services -- Revenue Assurance Management 1997-1999 · Promoted to position with operational responsibility. · Managed $22B in remittances from customers, lockboxes and banking relationships. · Managed “last resort” collection activities for non-paying customers, including litigation, bankruptcy management and collection agency management ($400M annual placements). Devised new strategies to increase cash flow, including secondary placements. · Provided analytical and decision-making support to operations. Established results reporting and financial planning processes for organization responsible for $3.5B in accounts receivables and $300M in uncollectible expense.

Initiated and coordinated quarterly earnings process relating to NCR.
