Director of Finance, Manager (1/98 – present)
Managed orderly liquidation of Financial Services Division, which consisted of a financial services company, a leasing company, and various funding vehicles, such as special purpose entities in support of asset backed securitization programs. Facilitated reduction of loan portfolio by 70% to $150 million, lease assets by 58% to $41 million and the liquidation of a $60 million portfolio of transaction oriented loans and lease contracts. Reduced operating expenses by 60% and staff by 70% without portfolio servicing and business interruptions. Coordinated all activities related to collections, operations and administration during wind down.

Responsible for corporate finance, treasury management, financial control and reporting, accounting, and daily operations for Financial Services Division. Set division wide budgets in excess of $3 million. Controlled performance compared to budget, with average cost of credit delivery at 35 bp of loan volume. Coordinated staff of up to 10 employees, evaluated performance and set incentives that resulted in very low turn over in personnel. Integrated $50 million swap program into asset/liability management system to hedge interest rate risk on $350 million loan portfolio.

Voting member of loan committee, approving annual loan originations of up to $90 million. Coordinated all aspects of credit administration of $500 million loan portfolio. Updated and enforced credit policies and procedures to enhance underwriting, documentation and servicing.

Negotiated, structured and implemented financing for approximately 35 affiliated companies, with capital requirements between $1 and $60 million. Coordinated and improved treasury functions and cash management systems. Initiated, implemented and administered various new ventures to react to business opportunities.

FAW Research Institute For Applied Knowledge Based Processing, Ulm, Germany
Foundation of public law initiated to research applied knowledge processing and artificial intelligence in the areas of computer integrated production, environmental information, human-computer interaction and resource management systems.
