Began as a Accounting Supervisor in the Property Management Group and progressed through the corporate ranks due to consistent contributions to the company’s growth from a $60 million domestic company to $1.2 billion (2005) international company, projected to achieve $1.4 billion in 2006.
Acquisitions & Integrations 1 Led negotiations for the ownership position in Europe’s most prestigious brokerage firm ($200 million in annual revenues) with operations in 10 European countries following an eight-year strategic alliance. Led the integration of business and financial systems, consolidated the business, structured the partnership, and led the company's transformation from a domestic company to a global company. 2 Negotiated the 2001 acquisition of a $ 80 million West-coast tenant rep brokerage firm founded by a grandson of the founder. 3 Chief negotiator for the heavily resisted 2005 acquisition of Brascan’s wholly owned subsidiary, Royal LePage Inc., Canada’s largest commercial brokerage service firm ($80 million revenues). Acquisition initiated the firm's entry into the Canadian market place and completed their coverage of the Americas.
Strategic Planning & Operating Management 1 Developed and established comprehensive financial metrics across all service lines to determine profit areas and drivers. Closed poorly performing offices, cut loses, and redirected $6 million EBITDA to more profitable operations. 2 To keep pace with global economic and market conditions, guided the transition of Asian operations from Hong Kong to China to protect the company’s market position.
Corporate Finance 1 Developed global corporate financial infrastructure (financial systems, financial reporting, management reporting, and financial processes) within GAAP and federal, state, and international tax jurisdictions, as company grew from 15 domestic locations to 189 locations worldwide. 2 Developed financial policies, procedures and risk management controls to ensure company’s assets were protected and treasury funds were optimized. 3 Through aggressive management of treasury functions, exceeded 2005 business plan cash flow by $30 million which facilitated the acquisition of Royal LePage.
Investor / Banker Relations 1 Leveraged Rockefeller Group’s desire to diversify with employee’s desire for increased ownership to negotiate a 23% increase in employee ownership (22% to 45%). Negotiated and structured stock purchase deal. 2 Spearheaded capital restructuring that would allow borrowing from major financial institutions versus the parent company exclusively, and encourage revenue growth within an untapped market. Negotiated and gained approval for $130 million in loans from three major banks.
Information Technology 1 Spearheaded a technology transformation consolidating six disparate financial and HR programs into one global PeopleSoft system. Directed planning and implementation of system and development of a global revenue management tracking system that improved operational efficiencies and profit optimization.
