EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CFO – CFO role with operational responsibility for IT, managed care contracting and sales, purchasing, distribution, billing & collections, admitting and compliance departments. Also, finance, accounting, reimbursement, treasury, tax and internal audit. Expense budget of approx. $75 million with 500 people and five direct reports. Reported to CEO and served on HMO board.

* Active in strategic planning and large complex M&A transactions. In addition, led acquisition of a $55 million hospital and expansion of activities into new regions. Key leader in developing successful partnership saving $20 million in operational costs.

* Recruited to help integrate a newly formed entity resulting from the combination of two multi-million dollar organizations. Successfully redesigned and downsized departments across the state, improving efficiency and reducing size by 50%. Recruited and trained leaders, including two individuals who are now a CEO and my successor within this organization.

* Handled all managed care contracting, increasing revenues millions annually through successful contract renegotiations. Oversaw sales department. Saved $15 million by renegotiating IT software contracts.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CORPORATE SERVICES AND CFO – CFO role with operational responsibility for strategic planning, compliance, IT, H/R, risk management, billing & collections, admitting. Oversaw Foundation operations. Also, finance, accounting, reimbursement, treasury, tax and internal audit. Expense budget of approx. $25 million with 350 people and nine direct reports. Reported to CEO and served on HMO board.

* Key leader in strategic planning and operations from which the company tripled revenues. Developed new financial reports and key indicator scorecards, improving decision-making and resulting in $8 million in savings.

* Handled all M&A, including the purchase of three companies, the building of a $60 million hospital and the building of a physicians’ office building. Handled complex divestiture resulting in a specially awarded $50,000 bonus to me. Negotiated $65 million for expansions.

* Developed clinical cost accounting system for managed care contracting, care pathway design and physician practice assessment. Increased revenues $18 million by working with team to recruit physicians to the organization.

* Introduced and installed managed care contract review. Created managed care pricing models for hospitals and HMO.
