Executive Job Description | This is a senior level "hands on" position
Position is in the Raleigh area
Opening for a Quality Assurance Director for our rapidly expanding RTP site. As a Director and Automation Architect in Workplace Investing, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the Architectural roadmap for QA Automation testing for Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, NetBenefits, CRM, Stock Plan Services, Plan Sponsor Workstation (PSW) and a variety of desk top applications for the WI Quality Assurance team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Architect, design and lead the technical implementation of the test automation platform
• Provide technical guidance to the QA Team and Mentor on QA and automation best practices
• Prioritize automation tasks along with QA Developers
• Oversee budget and maintain the resource plan for the automation QA Engineers for the portfolio of projects
• Clearly communicate status of projects to stakeholders and monitor, escalate and resolve issues Experience working with, and presenting to, all levels of management
Education and Experience:
College Degree
5 plus years management experience, solid analytical skills, ten plus years experience in test planning and execution leadership
Skills and Knowledge:
• Proven ability to architect, design and lead a team in implementing an approach to automation which is easily maintained and effective
• Experience working with both Mainframe and Distributed platforms
• Strong hands on programming skills
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of software QA processes and best practices
• Extensive Experience with automation testing tools HP QuickTest Professional, Parasoft SOA, BPT, HP Quality Center
• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
• Possess full project life cycle experience
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience working with all levels of management
• Offshore management experience
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
Proven ability to balance priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Base is in the 115000 range and is bonus elligible
