Executive Job Description | Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Senior Software Engineer to join our team that designs, develops and maintains high-profile web applications and services for client decision support tools. Our solutions consist of web sites, SOA web services, smart client applications, and algorithmic data processing utilities. Located in Rockville, MD, the Senior Software Engineer will have additional responsibilities to include and not limited to:
• Designing and developing .NET windows and web applications.
• Designing and developing data mining tools incorporating algorithmic and statistical analysis.
• Researching and applying innovative ideas, systems and methodologies.
• Providing leadership as a member of client focused teams and mentoring other team members.
• Participating in all aspects of the SDLC, e.g. authoring functional specifications.
• Tracking and communicating status to both internal and external stakeholders, working through issues, and maintaining solutions.
Qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field (required).
• Minimum 10 years overall experience, with 6 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET framework (minimum 2.0), ASP.NET, Web Services and SQL Server.
• Preferred, but not required, experience with AJAX, Silverlight, WCF, WPF, WinForms, SQL Server Reporting Services, and .NET certifications.
• Previous data mining, algorithmic and statistical analysis skills.
• Proven ability to work in and lead client-focused development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly present research and innovative methodologies both internally and externally to key stakeholders.
• Applicants must pass a financial and background investigation and be eligible for a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
