Executive Job Description | The Senior SAN Systems Administrator will perform all aspects of SAN Administration. This includes resolving performance bottlenecks and implementing any future upgrades. Other responsibilities include all aspects of Linux system administration, monitoring Linux servers and SAN fabric for potential issues. Other responsibilities include assistance with managing a VMware environment and install/configure/customize physical/virtual Linux Servers for our client’s environment.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information systems or engineering with relevant experience is required. 5 - 7 years or relevant IT experience is essential and required in this position. Working knowledge with EMC Clarion and EMC Celerra arrays Working knowledge with Cisco MDS Fabrics Ability to design a proper SAN fabric with no single point of failure. Strong knowledge of different raid types, I/O patterns, disk striping. Well versed in understanding and interpreting Navisphere Analyzer Output Well versed in understanding and implementing Navisphere QoS rules and schedules. EMC FAST Cache/ FAST VP Shell Scripting – navicli commands, awk used for generating capacity and performance reports. Ability to Manually Tier Storage by Performing Lun Migrations based on IO Profiling. Well versed in Shell Scripting Skills Strong ability to troubleshoot analyzes performance problems. Understands boot process with the ability to troubleshoot/fix boot failures Build/Maintain Linux Staging Server using autoyast and shell scripts. Experience with patching/tuning kernels and applying service packs. Experience with Qlogic HBAs, Dell Servers, EMC powerpath, Netbackup Cluster Administration – heartbeat, heartbeat2, clumanager. Various Linux Administration Tasks - User Account, Printer, Filesystems, Software Administration, Job Scheduling, Postfix, FTP, Apache, NFS, SAMBA, FTP, Network Bonding, Firewall TCPWrappers, Managing SSL Certs, SSH configuration, Sudo, VMWare tools installation, P2V Migrations.
