Executive Job Description | DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Working on an elite Oracle DBA team focused on highly advanced proactive maintenance and support of exceptionally large and sophisticated database systems highlighting high availability and world class support; (2) Working with advanced
column-store analytical database technology; (3) Performance tuning, performance monitoring, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, testing of database software releases and upgrades, planning and deployment of database physical schema changes, database cluster management, capacity planning, etc.; (4) Implementing new leading edge technology on an ongoing and consistent basis allowing you to remain at the edge of emerging technology consistently.
REQUIRED:
MUST have expert level Oracle DBA skills in a UNIX environment to include performance monitoring, tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, with a very good understanding of the Oracle database engine and VLDB’s (Very Large Data Bases).
MUST have strong/current SQL coding and bash scripting skills.
MUST have exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills and have strong experience with
concepts of iterative development and agile project management or be an exceptionally fast learner.
MUST have exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Pluses: Column store database experience.
