Executive Job Description | DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing third level technical support and guidance in a very sophisticated, state of the art, complex, global, Linux environment; (2) Configuring, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting web services, FTP services, email, and DNS in a LINUX environment; (3) Monitoring system capacity and providing insight into capacity planning; (4) Working intimately with stakeholders, other IT groups, and third party business partners to proactively improve the speed of system applications; (5) Working intimately with application development teams to test various lab benchmarks to determine the optimal technology solutions; (6) Installing patches, device drivers, third party software; (7) Configuring network interfaces; (8) Maintaining hardware inventory; (9) Hardware migrations; (10) Providing technical guidance and technical direction for business continuity and disaster recovery; (11) Designing, developing, monitoring, and ensuring adherence to policy, programs, and procedures.
REQUIRED:
MUST have STRONG/CURRENT level 3 LINUX server administration (at least 6 years) in a complex, enterprise, distributed, state of the art environment to include performance monitoring, performance tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, file system security, log management, patch management.
MUST have STRONG/CURRENT IP networking including IP sub-netting, route configuration, etc.
MUST have STRONG/CURRENT Perl, Python, Shell scripting and YUM and RPM.
MUST have STRONG/CURRENT skill implementing and administering infrastructure services security configurations with DNS, NTP, LDAP, SMTP, Syslog.
MUST have STRONG/CURRENT experience implementing high availability solutions employing multiple redundant systems.
MUST have excellent customer facing skills and excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
