Executive Job Description | The Manager of Web Development will manage a team of 5 - 7 developers and the QA staff. This position will also be responsible for taking our client’s subscription and ecommerce sites to the next level in navigation, search and functionality.
Responsibilities Complete ability to take a task all the way through the Software Life Cycle and rollout. The Manager will be able to take a task from a possibly vague concept through defining its requirements, designing a solution, implementation the designed solution, and bug fix stages of the Software Life Cycle. Ideas must be reduced to business rules in very short time intervals. Manager will work as part of a team and perhaps multiple teams. Specific roles will change with each situation. Manager can expect to have priorities changed in response to changing business conditions.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. 7 years experience managing software development teams is required. 3+ years of experience managing and directing a team of 4 or more is required. Extensive experience developing web based, high volume, fault tolerant, software solutions for the UNIX/Linux software environments. Experience with Relational Database systems with knowledge of efficient database design is required. Experience with Java and .NET development, Oracle, Internet industry, the Linux operating system and MS Project are a plus. Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies is essential in this role. |
