KEYS TO THE POSITION:
Director position - but is an Individual Contributor role, must work independently.
Primary role is IT Goverance:
Deals primarily with the connection between Strategic Objectives and IT Management of the organization. Define future status
Implement an organizational structure with well defined roles for the responsibility of: Information, Business Process, Applications & ICT Infrastructure (Information & Communications Technology
Extensive knowledge of Software Development - a person who came for Development area would be ideal.
Must be an Outstanding communicator with outstanding presentation skills who can effective tailor the message to all audiences including Sr. Mgmt.
Investment/financial services exp is Highly Desired.
Primary Responsibilities · Define, implement, and enforce IT governance across the development organization · As a service provider to the organization, collaborate and partner with other IT and business teams in the delivery of quality technical solutions · Participate in the definition and implemention of development standards and best practices · Analyze and document the current state technology environment · Develop a multi-year plan to evolve toward a new future state architecture · Perform evaluations of technical solutions, including 3rd party alternatives
Qualifications
Education and Experience • 10+ years of experience in information technology • A Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in computer science • Exposure to a wide range of platforms, including both legacy mainframe and distributed environments • Experience in large scale technology environments • Well-versed in technology trends and direction • Investment/financial services experience is highly desired • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management • Experience working with offshore teams is a plus Skills and Knowledge • Exemplary project management, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • An aptitude for understanding, defining, and communicating technology and architecture end to end • Understanding of both modern and legacy architectures and stacks • Understanding of services-oriented architecture and related technologies • Extensive knowledge of the software development discipline and associated methodologies • Proven leadership capabilities • Ability to effectively adapt and respond in a dynamically changing work environment
