Executive Job Description | Our client is a Portland, OR-based, global, market-leading, $7 billion diversified manufacturer serving aerospace, power generation and general industrial markets.
In this very challenging role, this individual will be responsible for the successful implementation of major systems (upgrades, installations, and extensions) across all company divisions.
Responsibilities:
•Provide planning, strategies, and tactics for ERP implementations in both new acquisitions and existing business operations.
•Provide oversight and direction to all systems implementation projects.
•Evaluate, develop negotiate, plan and execute new implementation projects, in conjunction with local management, from initial requirements to go-live.
•Develop standardized templates, customizations and tools that can be leveraged to reduce costs and increase quality of systems implementations across the company.
•Establish and enforce solid project management standards and techniques for tracking, monitoring and reporting project progress, status, and issues.
•Assist project managers during implementations with software and service support. Provide advice and counsel on other issues relating to difficult projects.
•Establish standards for effectively monitoring and tracking projects.
•Audit implementation projects for compliance to policies and accuracy in reporting and tracking.
•Negotiate with major software and service providers leveraging economies of scale for local projects.
•Interface with divisional and operations leadership during steering committee meetings to review projects.
•Periodically report to CEO and Audit committee of the Board of Directors.
•Mentor and monitor local project managers, from start to finish, on best project management practices.
•Establish, maintain, improve, monitor, and enforce corporate IT policies.
Qualifications:
•B.S. degree required; Masters (MBA) preferred
•Minimum 5 years of IT systems implementation senior project management experience. Oracle, Syteline, and MS Dynamics implementation preferred; 2-4 years of additional years of experience as functional track lead in major implementations, desirable.
•Significant travel required to observe, participate and audit projects at various company locations around the world.
•Proven problem solving capability required. Excellent communication skills required.
•Additional experience in manufacturing, finance/accounting, planning, or operations, desirable
