Executive Job Description | Chief Medical Information Officer needed for major MD/DC area hospital. The Chief Medical Information Officer must be a licensed Medical Doctor with medical IT and informatics training and experience. The Chief Medical Information Officer will: Supervise medical IT and informatics staff, ensuring compliance with: all hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. - Assist in the development of administrative regulations, as they pertain to the Medical informatics functions of the hospital. - Advise the hospital regarding the staffing, budget requirements, equipment, and other needs of the Medical Informatics Department. - Cooperate with Hospital Administration, the Medical Staff, and Hospital Personnel in providing quality medical informatics. The salary range for this position is $250 to $300K plus full benefits, malpractice insurance and relocation, if necessary.
