The Technology Architect will be responsible for all the technical aspects spanning all applications tiers * Presentation, Middleware, and Backend * of the Enterprise Actimize application (s). The position will entail staying abreast of technology and compliance trends, demands, issues and challenges and proactively reacting with innovative products, services and solutions. An ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
(1) Must have prior experience working with Actimize platform and tools (preferred) or other Compliance Solution such as Oracle Mantas, Sungard Protegent, etc
(2) Strong RDBMS/SQL skills. Oracle Database and ETL script writing skills. Experience in writing Oracle Stored Procedures, SQL Loader and PL*SQL.
(3) Must possess excellent understanding of the Brokerage industry and financial products from Equities, Fixed Income, Mutual Funds, ETF*s, etc. to life insurance products such as Variable Annuities and Variable Life.
(4) Must possess excellent skills in high level application design and development using Object Oriented Technologies and platforms.
(5) Fast Learner and be able to come up to speed quickly with current deployments of Actimize solutions in Sales Practices, AML and Trade Surveillance.
(6) Well versed in creating high quality business documents such as RFP*s, SOW*s, Presentations, etc for Customers and internal Management.
(7) College degree is a minimum. Advanced degree a plus;
(8) Assist Customers during on-boarding and User Acceptance testing stages, providing them support on enquiries, trouble tickets and leading them through the SDLC process. Should be able to perform Project Management tasks as needed by the organization.
(9) Have prior experience in computer modeling techniques, e.g.: Use Case/UML 2.0 Modeling, Business Process Modeling, etc.
(10) Excellent inter-personal skills and be able to manage onsite and off-shore resources and timelines under stress.
(11) Highly motivated and a self-starter; Ready to put in long hours and assume multiple roles in order to meet customer and product milestones and deadlines.
(12) Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills;
(13) Ability work in a fast paced demanding environment.
Big Plus (Nice to Have)
(a) Prior work in analysis and implementation of market data feeds such as DST, DAZL, Albridge, etc.
(b) Prior work experience in developing J2EE and Open Source Java applications (JSP, SERVLETS, JDBC, XML, WEB SERVICES, Struts, Spring, JUnit, JProbe, JLog, Cactus, etc) using Java-based IDE*s such as Rational Software Architect, Eclipse-based tools, etc.
(c) Prior experience working with Weblogic Application Server version 9.x
(d) Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Security Concepts, Frameworks and Best Practices at LDAP and Database level; Must be conversant with SSO, SAML, etc
(e) Strong understanding of Object Relational Mapping technology, e.g. Hibernate
(b) Participation in Compliance or Regulatory Industry group.
(c) Prior experience in a Big-5 management or technology consulting firm.
(d) Experience in Capacity Planning, Infrastructure Assessments and TCP/IP Networks |
