Executive Job Description | Vice President Business Development - Any location with a major airport - heavy travel expected Our client is a multi-site facilities maintenance and repair service firm that partners with clients in industries ranging from restaurant and retail to transportation and logistics utilizing a data-driven approach that delivers quality on-demand and scheduled maintenance while lowering overall costs. Primarily responsible for prospecting, development and delivery of large, multi-million dollar, national accounts. Finding new opportunities to expand sales through developing relationships with appropriate contacts at large corporations. These would include CFOs, COOs, Director of Facilities, Sourcing, Real Estate and other key functional areas involved in service/facilities related issues. Penetrate Fortune 500 companies and effectively communicate the companies value proposition to all organizational stake holders. Develop key internal sponsorships (within target client's organization) to form a guiding coalition tasked with implementing the best solution offered. Once the new client is acquired, the VP of BD would work closely with the Regional President to assist a smooth service implementation and transition into the network. Attend key industry Trade Show Marketing events. Continually review target lists and data mine to ensure network and key contacts are current. Develop and execute an annual sales plan that includes structured pilot programs and/or contracted service relationships. Develop and maintain a network that is utilized and can lead to new business. Ability to quickly establish credibility with C-Level Executives, as well as proven ability to document, propose and present comprehensive business plans and recommendations to customers. Complete sales performance and activity reporting using designated sales system, i.e. Salesforce.com. Create and distribute informative reports that include progress and updates with prospects, pipeline and sales progression. Requirements: 5+ years experience selling and designing business solutions and a mastery of the complex sales process for large national accounts. Strong work ethic and self motivated approach to work with excellent communication skills (oral and written) as well as excellent listening skills. Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to problem solve with strong analytical skills. Previous experience with RFP and RFI processes. Willing and able to travel as needed - expected up to 70% Bachelor’s Degree- ideally in business, marketing and/or management. Strong customer-facing, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to quickly establish credibility with C-Level Executives, as well as proven ability to document, propose and present comprehensive business plans and recommendations to customers.
