SR DIRECTOR, VP SALES OPERATIONS
My client is the leading niche service provider of clinical trial solutions for the life sciences industry.
Job Summary
The role of the Sr. Director, VP Sales Operations is to guide the performance of the Sales team and to assist the Senior Vice President in the smooth operation of sales support functions in the business. The incumbent will report to the SVP of Business Development and will work with the SVP and other functional groups within the company to maintain and enhance the operational elements of the entire sales team.
The Sr Director, VP Sales Operations must be an effective liaison with the sales team and ensure that they receive the appropriate level of lead generation and customer support in the field, and/or by improving sales process and infrastructure. Success in this position will be measured through team quota attainment and hitting management business objectives.
Job Responsibilities (include):
- Incumbent will manage a 1-person inside sales and 4 - 5 person contract proposal team.
- Coordinating all sales and operations activities for the sales team.
- Planning, problem solving and implementing key operations strategies, processes efficiency and tactics to support the organization’s achievement of business goals.
- Helping to define, establish and document the operating model for the business unit.
- Assist the SVP with running and enhancing overall sales operations.
- Drive process between Sales and Marketing as it pertains to information flow, content and vehicle of material to Sales with solutions that more effectively propel the sales team.
- Handle sales trending and analysis of historical data working with finance and marketing.
- Budget and business planning, compensation planning.
- Contract processing.
- Coordinate and manage team meetings, internal and off-site meetings and conferences.
- Distributor contract and compliance management.
- Handles both tactical and strategic assignments.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in a CRO or a similar environment
- College degree
- Management experience.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Must have good interpersonal skill to work with finance, marketing, product management and development.
- Can run a project without close supervision and escalate issues using good discretion.
Compensation: $130,000 – 180,000 (25% Bonus + Options)
