Executive Job Description | Design, develop and executive a world-class international business development capability. This includes building the strategic international roadmap, developing and leading the international Business Development team, taking the lead on strategic partnerships, Joint Ventures and/or JV acquisitions.
In addition to the US based team, you’ll need to establish a robust process for improving the quality of our client’s in-country sales representative staff. This will begin with the recruiting process, followed by an effective on-boarding program and continue with a method for tracking of their progress in identifying, accurately forecasting, and capture of new business opportunities.
You and your team will create and maintain a world-class market intelligence gathering system and tie that to the ongoing international marketing, and business development / sales strategy.
Here’s a Summary of What You Will Need
• A BS degree (focus on engineering is highly desirable) - MBA is preferred. • 15+ years of Aerospace & Defense industry related experience. • 10+ years spent in a leadership position. • Demonstrated track record for building and maintaining an outstanding international field sales representative staff. • Available for 40% to 50% international travel. • Demonstrated familiarity with variances in cultural/business norms to include in-depth knowledge of how business done in country especially with respect to Aerospace & Defense products. • Must be intimately familiar with legal, regulatory and export control issues related to international sale and transport of U.S. Aerospace and Defense products and technology. • Fluently in a foreign language is preferred.
