Executive Job Description | Director new business development For the Americas
Job Description: Builds market position and visibility by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships for an FAA FAR 145 Aircraft component repair facility located in the Northeast. Company specializes in wide and narrow body commercial aircraft both domestic and international.
Duties: * Locates, visits and propose potential business deals and opportunities by contacting potential customers; discovering and exploring opportunities.
* Directs business development organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to functional strategic thinking and direction. Attend and manage numerous worldwide trade shows.
* Identifies trend setter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments. * Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating customer’s needs and goals.
* Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing business networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Skills/Qualifications: * Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism. * Applicant must possess at least (5) years current commercial aircraft component repair facility sales experience, as well as current contacts. * Prior airline sales experience a plus. Extensive travel required.
