Executive Job Description | Director, National Account Sales Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Salary & bonus Relocation Assistance Available
As the National Account Sales Director of Home Appliance your challenge will be to direct all selling efforts for the entire Home Appliance product line. This includes strategic planning and tactics, attaining revenue targets, managing assigned promotional funds, P&L for accounts (controllable), advocating customer requirements internally and maintaining good relationships with customers and leading efforts of sales managers and other support personnel. As account executive expectation will be that all activities within the sales office under your leadership will demonstrate leadership in operations (supply chain, forecasting), detailed analysis and recommendations, unwavering understanding of all sales results (past and expected) as well as maintaining account strategy plan/actions.
Lastly, you will be expected to understand and incorporate internal business needs into daily actions with customer. Issues and opportunities that arise should be carefully analyzed and positioned to ensure internal company resources are aligned while also finding best solutions for the customer.
Responsibilities: Maximize sales volume to meet/exceed assigned objectives Manage assigned budget funds Manage controllable P&L by customer Manage customer forecast in detail (accuracy) Develop and implement detailed annual and mid-term sales plans in alignment with company plans/needs Drive sales efforts through interactions with all aspects of customer organization Champion customer requirements internally and coordinate efforts to meet them. Customer requests should be analyzed and presented internally to satisfy internal needs for information and detailed back up. Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that highlight goals and actions Provide quality management and leadership for relevant aspects of customer relationship including: Direction of sales team to meet sales objectives Coaching of team to maximize contribution Direction and coordination of non-sales resources to maintain customer relationships (including support services) Provide accurate and timely information to management for product and market forecasting requirements
Requirements: Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred 10+ years of sales experience in consumer products with a strong appreciation of sales and the retail environment; knowledge of or experience in our key retail accounts would be ideal Supervisory/managerial experience Excellent analytical capability and strategic thinking Strong negotiation skills Strong presentation skills (verbal and written) Solid coaching skills (team leadership) A successful candidate will have proven ability to work in a face paced, rapidly growing, multibillion dollar business
