Director, Business Development
My client is a well known entity in the contract service space calling into pharma/bio tech. The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying and generating new business through sales activities. This includes territory management and relationship building in pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify new, or expand current business opportunities in the assigned sales territory
- Travel the territory and make calls on the target companies identified
- Develop and manage a market penetration strategy for the targeted companies.
- Attend select strategic industry tradeshows
- Actively coordinates efforts with other internal departments (i.e. Clinical Operations, Finance, Technical, Marketing, and Quality Assurance)
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of capabilities and clinical operations process offered by company
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Business, or Pharmacy
- 7+ years of experience in sales responsibilities in complex sales in the Life Sciences sector
- Preferably in the bio-pharmaceutical or outsourcing field
- Highly developed selling skills
- Consistently meets or exceeds territory targets over multiple sales years
- Performance appraisal consistently exceed expectation over multiple annual reviews
Compensation:
Base: 100K-135K, at plan 200K+
