Executive Job Description | My client is a full service market research company providing innovative research solutions to consumer product companies. They are committed to providing the highest quality research in the industry by utilizing the latest technologies.
This position is responsible for generating new revenue from the sale of my client's market research services and analytics to a wide variety of clients in the Food and Beverage sector. The Director will actively pursue new revenue opportunities including produce companies, deli meat and cheese manufacturers, food ingredient companies, and other new markets as identified. This person must be well-versed in lead generation through cold calling, trade shows, industry conferences, referrals, LinkedIn and other creative strategies to establish relationships with decision makers within these organizations. This individual reports directly to the President of the business unit.
The ideal candidate will be a hunter who is a strong team player with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams. This person needs to have strategic vision, consultative selling skills and experience in selling market research. Experience in the food industry is highly desired, but not required. Overall Responsibilities:
Hunt for new business opportunities in markets to meet and exceed revenue targets and annual sales goals. Create and execute the sales and marketing strategies for Food and Beverage prospects. Utilize consultative selling approach to identify data needs or strategic initiatives and recommend relevant program options. Prepare customized sales presentations; apply knowledge of either POS or Consumer information to demonstrate measurable business results. Partner with Marketing to develop messages and execute campaigns that will attract new clients. Prospect potential clients to identify data needs and close sales. Identify common themes from Food and Beverage clients to assist in the development of new products/services.
Requirments
8 -10+ years experience in selling to new clients and achieving annual sales goals. Market Research experience a must; Food and Beverage industry a plus Ability to analyze market information and develop case studies Demonstrated expertise in strategic account planning, cold calling and lead development Experience in consultative selling and prospecting Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships at C-levels Excellent negotiation skills Strong presentation and communication skills Expert in all MS Office products and contact management software Managing and leading a Sales team is a plus Travel ~20-30% BA/BS |
