Executive Job Description | Our Client is a world-leading information technology consulting, services, and business process consulting and outsourcing firm ranked in Top 20 in the world for IT Services. They are seeking a Director of BPO Sales in the Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticial Services vertical. The candidate should have good experience in business development, pre-sales and sales. The candidate should have worked in program managing RFI/RFP responses and client presentations. They should be able to effectively co-ordinate with the various teams (i.e solutioning, pricing, transition etc) to meet the RFI/RFP response time schedule. The candidate should be deliverable-oriented and should be able to work cohesively with various teams. Strong communication skills and client facing skills are essential for this role. Ideally speaking, the candidate should be able to interact with third party advisory firms, conduct "roadshows" with the ISU's, develop relationships with the BRM's and client partners and strategize on the growth of BPO. The candidate should be able to co-ordinate effectively with the sales council, the BPO marketing teams and also be an alliance program manager (develop alliances or partnerships) for BPO. The position reports into the Head of BPO of North America.
Ideally the individual will be in the NY/NJ area, though other locations MAY be considered, depending on the suitability of the candidate (i.e. Cincinnati, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, etc.)

Entrepreneurial, energetic leader with demonstrated ability to build and manage BPO sales in the life science industry. Conceptual thinker with capability to implement and launch ideas, products and services.
Oversee the negotiation of multimillion contracts with Life Science "Tier-1" Companies.
Extensive experience in business development and strategic planning with emerging technologies within Life Sciences
Demonstrated success building business models in Life Science industries
Excellent negotiation, Leadership/Management and presentation skills
Strong Relationships and references in the industry for demand creation and large opportunity pursuits
Ability to lead and close large multi-MN multi-year pursuits
Create Lead Generation Programs - Manage & work with sales team on key pipeline new & existing accounts.
Responsible for Business Unit forecasting.
Hire and supervise Sales and Business Development Teams
Devise alliance strategy and conduct due diligence on potential partners/new business for major customer base expanding solutions offering
The ideal candidate would have the following: 7- 10 years of experience in selling & managing BPO to Life Sciences entities. Must have sold software services, Consulting & solutions, or software products (or both) for at least 5 years in the market Worked in the Tier 2 and Tier 1 accounts (example – Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Amedysis, IMS Health, Covance, Perrigo, Forest Labs, Carefusion, Biomerleux, Cardinal Health, WellPoint, United Health, Merck, Novartis, etc.) CxO & VP level contracts, with the ability to shorten sales cycle time to an average of 5 months Must have technical understanding and background of Life Science to handle level 1&2 technical issues with customers/prospects Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, or Business Administration with Information Science MBA will be a plus Sales background from Big 5 or consulting company with revenue billing targets
