Executive Job Description | Summary: To cultivate and manage business relationships between Corporate and selected accounts and agents in specific regions Asia. To create the internal business structure for future development of core sales throughout Asia. To provide sales, marketing and technical skills that will enhance the position in Asia.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Implement sales and marketing strategies that maximize sales revenue and gross profit for core products at selected National and Multinational accounts. Create appropriate client action plans.
2.Implement sales and marketing strategies that maximize sales revenue and gross profit for core products with selected agents. Create appropriate client action plans.
3.Help determine and execute consistent pricing policies.
4.To facilitate and enhance communication between the key contacts at the accounts/agents and management, customer service, laboratory and technical staff.
5.To coordinate and work with sales and marketing staff in the development and management of Asia client and agent relationships.
6.To develop short and long range sales forecasts.
7.To assist in the development of sales and marketing tools and resources.
8.To gather and assess competitive information on pricing, product quality, applications and competitive activity.
9.To identify needs in the Asian food and beverage industry and to specify the development and positioning of products which meet those needs.
10.To extend current marketing strategies to the Asian food and beverage industry that will reflect local custom and local needs.
11.Where appropriate, to help manage and coordinate sales representatives and agents, helping them to create and optimize business opportunities.
12.To design, suggest, and implement systems, policies, and practices which enhance the Asian business development and management process.
13.To assist with the legal compliance of the entity in Asia. To monitor and report regulatory developments which may affect Asian sales.
14.Ensure maximum “air time” for products and business with the agents.
15.Provide appropriate information for decision making in respect of agency engagement and agents contractual obligations.
16.To travel to designated regions and support agents with travel where necessary.
Job Requirements :
*Experience of five or more years in a commercial setting, interacting with international customers and in business development.
*International travel experience and demonstrated ability to understand cultural practices on a global basis.
*Language skills in Japanese or Korean, while not absolute, are highly sought for the successful candidate.
*BS in Food Science or combination of equivalent years and education working in an international technical sales or business development
Travel Required : 40-50%
