Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced Business Development Manager.
Description: Our client is a Medicare Advantage Institutional Special Needs Plan for eligible individuals residing in Medicare approved nursing facilities and assisted living communities. Primary objective is to drive new revenues by providing business development services to potential customers, promoting brand awareness and negotiating agreements, with the end result being the closure of new Nursing Facility and Assisted Living Community contracts. The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated abilities in sales, negotiations and partner relationship management; high energy, ability to self-motivate and motivate others, and a passion for communicating the benefits of our program to prospective clients. This position demands the ability to simultaneously address multiple projects and challenges.
Responsibilities include: Responsible for bringing the right kind of new business to the company. This means developing relationships with prospective customers who will understand the added value our company brings to their community and residents both clinically and financially. Ensure that the facility helps give us access to decision-makers. Prospect, develop a referral network and build relationships with Nursing and Assisted Living facilities. Conduct initial and ongoing sales presentations and informational meetings within facilities and in other necessary events in order to introduce and close/contract facility. Develop and implement tactical marketing and sales plans within a given territory to ensure objectives/sales goals are met. Perform accurate and precise analyses of the facilities to ensure that the facility is a proper fit for a contract. Perform accurate and precise analyses of the facilities to ensure that the resident population is an appropriate fit for enrollment into the companys program. Initiate and oversee the implementation of a contract within a new facility to ensure that all aspects of the implementation are successful, including enrollment penetration within the facility. Utilize the company ACT! database to maintain all prospecting activity with communities Assume responsibility for achieving revenue objectives of the department along with rest of sales & marketing team Support organization's goals and values Conserve organizational resources Follow company policies and procedures Follow CMS regulations and Department of Insurance guidelines throughout sales process. Attend marketing events such as conferences (vendor booths, etc). Work within approved budget
Qualifications include: Must have experience within the long-term care market, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health Must be comfortable speaking with all levels of staff within an organization from the direct caregivers to the CEO of an organization. Must be positive, focused and driven to produce results Superior at prospecting, asking questions and uncovering meaningful needs of potential clients. Manage a territory and travel within that area Excellent oral, written, follow-through, organizational, presentation and independent workload management skills Professional Appearance, with a highly energetic sales personality Good driving record Knowledge of and experience with database software and Internet search applications. Must have above-average experience and skill in working with all Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel and WORD Has strong code of ethics; treats people with respect and keeps commitments Able to identify and resolve problems, develops alternative solutions, work effectively in group problem-solving situations, use reason even when dealing with emotional topics, open to others' ideas and initiatives Continuously build knowledge and skills; share expertise with others.
