Executive Job Description | Automation Sales Manager - Rockwell APR (Northern California) Summary: The Industrial Sales Manager (ISM) develops, manages and directs Rexel’s Rockwell Automation sales strategy across a multi-location area. The ISM is responsible for sales growth, development and goal achievement personally and through subordinate supervisors and associates. The ISM oversees over the strategic planning and tactical execution of the territories’ key supplier partner, Rockwell Automation, but will also include Rockwell‘s Encompass Partners and other key suppliers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain a strategic planning process, coordinating both Rexel and Rockwell requirements · Work in conjunction with Area Managers and Sales Leaders to provide direction and manage performance · Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales by managing sales territories, quotas, and goals · Analyzes and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements · Lead, coordinate and participate in company/supplier commercial activities including tradeshows, industry associations, training, etc. · Deliver sales presentations to key clients and associated sales organizations to promote the company’s customer value proposition · Maintain relationships with key clients, assisting the branch sales organizations by negotiating and closing deals and resolving account problems as required Qualifications: · Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience · Minimum of five years experience in the electrical industry · Previous management or senior leadership experience · Strong leadership, organizational/planning skills as well as ability to influence strategy · Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation professional experience (internal or external) highly desirable
