Executive Job Description	Supply Chain Director Raleigh, NC Relocation: YES Salary: about $150K - Bonus Eligible The Director of Supply Chain for the Power Systems (PS) Division will report to the head of PS Global Commodity Teams. Will be responsible for defining and implementing best practice processes for PS and for ensuring state of the art local sourcing of contracted services. Additionally, will support PS business units in sourcing complex contracted services for their projects as well as defining and implementing a training program to increase contracted service sourcing knowledge. Field of Activity: Planning, coordinating and leading a team of PS Regional Best Practice Team Leaders (BPTL) for contracted services. Together with the team members defining best practice processes for identifying, qualifying and evaluating suppliers for contracted services. Maintaining a set of state of the art purchasing contracts for different types of contracted services taking into consideration available Group Instructions and Regulations Supporting Business Unit managers in assessing the competency of local business units in sourcing of contracted services as well as defining improvement actions to close gaps Reviewing PS risk exposure (tender and execution phase) for major supplier for contracted services (e.g. civil contractor) Together with member of the BPT and GF-SCM developing training programs to close competency gaps at different levels in the area of sourcing of contracted services Analyze demand, markets, suppliers and total relevant costs to create a basis for decision making for the most cost efficient sourcing strategy for global, regional and local sourcing together with the PS regional and local units. Designing the sourcing strategy for contracted services, considering short, medium and long term scenarios and risks and presenting the strategy to the review board for approval Responsible for the selection of Power Systems globally preferred suppliers and managing supplier development for contracted services. Conduct price and contract negotiations (long term supply agreements) with preferred suppliers to guarantee security of suppliers with the best conditions. Developing global benchmarking and best practice sharing within the PS organization and share relevant information such as global or regional price trends to all relevant internal stakeholders Knowledge, Skills, Experience: Master degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, or business administration Minimum 5 years of professional management experience; Minimum 3 yrs experience in managing contractor at project site Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a supply chain function Minimum 5 years experience in procurement of contracted services for EPC projects Deep level experience in contracts management including drafting and executing contracts in multiple jurisdictions Experience in post-contract management & risk/claims mitigation activity.
