Executive Job Description	Job Description • Key member of international corporate external communications team responsible for developing company’s China’s corporate PR strategy, managing reactive media issues (mergers and acquisitions, crisis, financial) and driving proactive media (traditional and digital) relations campaigns to support company’s strategic growth initiatives, focused on innovation and sustainability. • An ability to communicate effectively with senior management and collaborate across multiple business groups, legal, investor relations, government affairs and communications functions within company is required. Proven ability to effectively use social media and execute digital media strategies is a plus. • In-depth knowledge of the local landscape and the ability to be a change agent with key external influencers. • Outstanding media relations skills and existing, deep relationships with senior business and technology reporters/editors is a must; experience managing financial and crisis communications is preferred. • This position is based in Beijing and reports to the Senior Manager of Asia Pacific and Japan Corporate Media Relations. Specific duties include: • Maintain daily dialogue with key media to identify story opportunities, manage company news and influence press coverage of company. Serve as a primary contact for key business press for company news. • Advise and prepare senior management for interaction with media • React to breaking news in a timely manner. • Partner with a PR agency to maximize effectiveness of PR campaigns and deliver consistent results. • Use social media tools to reach unstructured influencers in the digital media space. • Developing and implement key strategies, messaging, Q&A’s, other deliverables for executives and key spokespeople. • Assist with PR plan measurement and success metrics; drive communications to other key constituents within company. • Work with company’s China management team to understand local business priorities and initiatives that align with the global and regional corporate communication pillars. Qualifications • B.A. or B.S. degree • Outstanding communications and writing skills • Existing relationships with key business press contacts. References from active journalists required. • A mix of agency and corporate PR experience is preferred. • 12 - 15 years of related experience • PR and media relations expertise and relationships • Strong writing, research and analytical skills • Strong news sense and ability to package ideas into stories for press • Ability to work with the major media • Proven ability to effectively use social media and execute digital media strategies • Ability to work cross-organizationally • Strong planning capability and organizational capabilities • Self-starter; able to work effectively without close supervision
